Frances Goldman is the owner and founder of Frango Financial LLC. After a distinguished career in government and non-profit organizations, Fran started Frango Financial to provide comprehensive one-on-one financial planning services to working professionals. Her practice is focused on educating individuals and families to make the best choices with their money in light of their values.
Pamela Khinda joined Frango Financial in 2015. Pam has a strong interest in helping women feel comfortable with their finances, whether going through a life change such as marriage, divorce, career-hiatus, or simply gaining understanding and taking control of their financial life.
Frango Financial is affiliated with the Alliance of Comprehensive Planners (ACP), a national organization of fee-only planners focused on comprehensive, individualized financial planning strategies. Frango Financial LLC serves clients in Washington DC, northern Virginia, and suburban Maryland as well as New Mexico, California, and Illinois. Clients range in age from late 20’s to early 70’sand include married and unmarried couples – with and without children -- and single clients who are widowed, divorced, or never married.
Fran grew up in Chicago and moved to Washington DC in 1980 as a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Office of Management and Budget. After 8 years at OMB, she moved to Wellington, New Zealand for 2 wonderful years with the New Zealand Treasury as a senior financial analyst. Upon returning to Washington DC, she spent 18 years as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a variety of non-profit organizations, including the New Israel Fund, Working for America Institute, and Center for Inspired Teaching.
A decade ago, Fran faced an unexpected financial crossroad in her personal life. She realized that -- despite her education, experience, and skills -- she was uncertain as to what her options were and which path was right for her and her family. This experience led her to pursue the education and training to become a Certified Financial Planner®.
Fran graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Political Science and received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She received her Certificate of Financial Planning from Georgetown University. Fran is a Certified Financial Planner®.
Fran has one daughter who is a performer, writer, producer, voiceover artist, and early childhood music teacher in Brooklyn, NY. Fran is committed to community involvement and is active in several local, national, and international non-profit organizations.
Pamela’s affinity and interest for planning, analysis, and spreadsheets led her to explore a career change into a financial field. Pamela returned to school and received her Certificate of Financial Planning from Georgetown University followed by successful completion of the CFP® examination in 2014.
Pamela is the proud mom of two grown self-supporting sons, enjoys travelling, and loves to bike, swim, yoga and drink the Peloton kool-aid. A safari in 2018 to Botswana with family was a 'trip of a lifetime' and learning to surf in Costa Rica ranks up there as well. Pamela tries to live consistently with her philosophy that experiences translate to happiness, more so than dollars in the bank.
